Teague is a blip of a town in Central Texas. I was just passing through and noticed this old building, so I stopped to take a look. A Historical Marker on the site told of Teague’s past life as a bustling railroad town. In 1906, lots were being sold to encourage people to move there and “Customers arriving on a special train were met by a band playing “Dixie” and before the day was over, they had consumed 5,000 pounds of barbecue.” I love that little detail! Oh, small towns…
