Growing up in a small town in Central Texas, I would go to Waco almost every Saturday with my family since it was the closest city to have movies and shopping. The road into town always brought us to a large traffic circle (“The Circle”), and at some point during my teenage years, my Dad started circling it multiple times (à la the Griswolds) on purpose, which always made us laugh. He then started doing it when I had friends in the car, and when I started driving, I did it too. I’m not near Waco much these days, but when I am, a Circle run is in order!

*A big thanks to Chris and Donnell for their circling and filming assistance!

  1. I love this, Judah! and I love the story about your Daddy circling it several times. Good idea!

Whee! Have circled twice with you so far! what a trip! Sounds like Jim–it runs in the family!
I’m enjoying all your adventures–shared this with my roommate. Her comment: “She’s quite a writer.”
–also said it looks kind of barren down there.

What'cha say?
